Our team is able to provide proofreading services in various languages: Spanish, English, German and French. We correct not only spelling, grammar, and potential typographical errors but also typographic issues, such as missing spaces.
About us
We are four friends who decided to work together in order to offer a wide range of translation services. We are all passionate about literature and we enjoy discussing with our clients to meet their expectations. Our differences allows us to offer our services in four languages: English, French, German & Spanish.
What are our languages?
The objective of our agency is to offer high quality services as translators. Therefore, each member of our team is an expert in two languages apart from their mother tongue. We chose not to seek people with more languages because we believe that it is better to be an expert in some languages rather than knowing the basics of many languages. We may only offer four languages (French, Spanish, German and English), but it means that you can get an irreproachable translation from French to Spanish, German to English, English to French, and the list goes on.
Besides, these four languages have a lot of speakers throughout the world so that you can reach as many people as possible with your literary work. In the future, we may extend the team with some new co-workers who are speaking other languages if the need becomes apparent. Why focus on literary translation?
It wasn’t even a choice, but a self-evident fact. The four of us are fond of books, even though we do not have the same taste in literature. As a matter of fact, that is one of our strengths: not only do we have different languages, but also expertise on different fields of literature. Moreover, we like a good challenge, which this area of translation surely offers. Indeed, recreating the author’s story and style into a different language is not a piece of cake. As the American lawyer Frank Clark once said, “if you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.”
The diversity of literacy works makes our job fascinating, even on a daily basis. We have to adapt to the author’s needs, the type of text, the target and source language, which makes it even more interesting. It is obvious that you cannot translate a poem the same way you would a short story: for example, there are some rules in poetry that must be followed, depending on the country you want to reach.
